ZONES TO FOCUS ON WOMENS CRICKET [Country Cricket]

Developing sustainable womens' cricket competitions at a regional level will be a focus for the eight Country Cricket Zones this summer.

The recent Country Cricket Zone Administrators' meeting at Cootamundra examined strategies and programs that could lead to the establishment womens cricket competitions within the zones.

ZONE LOGOS UNDER MICROSCOPE [Country Cricket]

The eight Country Cricket Zones will review their logos over the next three months with a view to bringing them into line with the marketing logo of CricketNSW and Cricket Australia. All Zones will examine incorporating the theme of their current logo into the shield-style recently adopted by CricketNSW and consistent with the marketing direction of Cricket Australia

The draw for the 2008-09 SCG Country Cup has been released by Country Cricket NSW. This season 85 teams will contest the Country Cup with Round 1 scheduled for October 26.

The 22nd Annual General Meeting and Annual Dinner of the NSW Country Cricket Association was a memorable and historic occassion at Cootamundra on August 16. The Annual Meeting and Dinner kicked off the two weeks of celebrations of the centenary of the birth of Sir Donald Bradman at 89 Adams Street, Cootamundra on August 27, 1908.
